Thanks to Tesla

One of the greatest scientists and inventors that has ever lived, Nikola Tesla has made many remarkable discoveries that have advanced the human race. He is best known for the invention of the Tesla coil and alternating current (AC) electricity. But, there are many other reasons why we should all be thankful for this genius. His contributions are part what we us on a daily basis – X-ray, radio, remote control and the light bulb to name a few. With much of his work underappreciated, it is our mission to carry on his legacy giving him the recognition he deserves.

ANNUAL FUND DRIVE
Your help will make an impact in 2023 and beyond.

Thanks to Tesla is TSCW’s annual drive to support our mission: To develop the site of Nikola Tesla’s last remaining laboratory into a transformative global science center that embraces his bold spirit of invention, provides innovative learning experiences, fosters the advancement of new technologies, and preserves his legacy in the Tesla Museum.

How will my donation be used to make a difference?

Our goal is to raise $150,000. Your contribution will help support programs that benefit thousands of learners, organizations, and a community that ranges from local to global.

  • Education - STEAM-based programming that incorporates the latest technology and hands-on, immersive learning experiences for all ages, such as youth coding classes, Hackathon for Humanity, webcasts featuring global innovators, STEAM Camp, and more.
  • Events & Exhibits - Thousands of families, learners, schools, businesses and organizations benefit from our STEAM expos and maker fairs, interactive exhibits and activities, robotics and amateur radio events, mind-expanding tech and history talks, and more.
  • Renovations - Wardenclyffe is recognized internationally as a site of great significance in technology history as it is the only surviving laboratory of inventor Nikola Tesla and part of the emerging hub of innovation that spawned the area's aerospace, research and technology industries and advancements. Your donation will help transform this historic site into a museum and center of excellence in education and entrepreneurship that empowers today's innovators to solve the challenges facing humanity in the present and future.

The power is ON: TSCW’s Thanks to Tesla Annual Fund Drive is up and running!

"The future, for which I have really worked, is mine." Marc Alessi, Executive Director at TSCW, explores this quote by Nikola Tesla in relation to the progress and plans taking place in 2022 and beyond.

Why are we dedicated to TSCW’s cause?

Thanks to Tesla: Inventions that Help Humanity

Every day, we benefit from technology developed by Nikola Tesla. Thanks to Tesla, we have wi-fi and remote control, radio, x-ray, fluorescent and neon lighting, and many other innovations. Thanks to Tesla, we also have the alternating current (AC) system that runs our modern power grid and virtually every electric device we use. Tesla dedicated his life to harnessing science and nature for the benefit of humanity. Here are some of the innovations he developed to better our lives.

  • AC motor & power distribution system
  • Remote control & wireless technology
  • Radio & fundamental systems of wireless communication
  • Vertical take-off & landing (VTOL) aircraft
  • Devices for x-ray imaging
  • Bladeless turbine
  • Bifilar coil
  • Devices that use rotating magnetic fields
  • Speedometer & tachometer
  • Electronic ignition for gas engines
  • Devices for lightning protection
  • Devices for high-voltage discharges
  • Fluorescent & neon lighting distribution
  • Laser technology
  • Coaxial cable
  • Devices for charged particle beams
  • Radio frequency oscillators
  • Devices for voltage magnification by standing waves
  • Apparatus for producing ozone
  • Devices for ionized gases & high field emission
  • Methods for providing extremely low levels of resistance to the passage of electrical current
  • Voltage multiplication circuitry

CONTINUE NIKOLA TESLA'S LEGACY

The Mission

With your help, we can transform Tesla’s last remaining laboratory into a global science center, and have it serve as a pivotal hub for research, academia, STEAM education, incubators and economic development for Long Island. Please join us and Tesla supporters from around the world in uniting for this important cause for the benefit of humanity.

The World Saved Wardenclyffe. Now It's Time to Build.

Over 33,000 people from across the globe united in a 2012 crowdfund to raise the funds needed to purchase Wardenclyffe and save it from demolition. Since then, TSCW and our supporters have persevered to acquire permits and approvals, develop site plans and operations, and do whatever it takes to move the project forward. Now, it's time to break ground and renovate the only laboratory in existence built by the great inventor, Nikola Tesla--but we need your support! Donate today to help create a world-class museum and innovation center that continues Tesla's legacy of advancing science for the betterment of humanity.
